Passion for Berries
My passion for berries and fruit has been inspired by the paintings of Louisa Anne Meredith (1812-1895). Louisa has written and illustrated many books of watercolours and drawings of Australian flora and fauna. Some of her beautiful art-works are displayed in Wild Berry Cottage.

History of Wild Berry Cottage
Wild Berry Cottage was owned by the THOMAS family from the beginning of c1860s when it was built, until 1947. A 1861 newspaper fragment was found as packing between the floorboards and a recently discovered cellar. It is thought that Wild Berry Cottage was originally a two-room cottage with the front bedroom used as a bootman's shop, and the current B&B lounge used as living quarters. It seems that as time progressed the other rooms were added including a kitchen, a cook house, and two chimneys. A total of three cellars have been discovered in Wild Berry Cottage, including one under the current B&B kitchen.
